We’re seeking a proactive, bright and hardworking Purchasing Assistant to join a busy Operations team. You will have meticulous attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in making a difference. We are passionate about offering our customers the very best experience, and we are always striving to make it even better. Despite a fantastic year on year growth of 58%, there is still so much to do, and you will be expected to go above and beyond to ensure we stay one step ahead.

You’ll know exactly how to spot the anomaly in the figures and be full of ideas, to ensure constant growth for not only the department, but the company as a whole. Your responsibilities as a Purchasing Assistant will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Assisting with weekly performance reports, KPIs and other reporting required by the department.
  • Aiding product development, assessing product samples and following test procedures.
  • Creating purchase orders.
  • Working closely with accounts to ensure invoices are correct.
  • Communicating with suppliers from all over the world.
  • Investigating new supply possibilities.
  • Identifying improvements to the existing product range and monitoring supplier progress.
  • Liaising with members of other departments.
  • Assisting with data entry projects.

What you’ll need to show us:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks within Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Excellent computer literacy, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner.
  • Special awareness with gauging sizes and weights.
  • Experience with Microsoft NAV and Dynamics365 would be desirable.
